“COOLER
SANITIZING”-KILLS 99.99% OF BACTERIA, VIRUSES, MICROORGANISMS AND MOLDS ON
CONTACT.
Did
You Know Your Water Cooler Can Get You Sick If Not Cleaned???
Cooler Manufacturers and the International Bottled Water Association of
America recommend that coolers be sanitized
at least every 6 months. European health regulators require that bottled
water companies sanitize coolers every 3 months.
California
has a similar law on the books for bottled water companies, and several other
states are considering it. While the
integrity of your water can be superb, the cleanliness of your cooler can make
you seriously ill, especially when not cleaned, maintained and SANITIZED for
long periods of time. An
unsanitary cooler can affect the taste of your water and affect your health.
Blue Mountain Natural Spring Water has studied these effects and found out
the only way to truly clean and keep your water cooler safe for you and your
family is to sanitize it using Ozone. We are one of the first bottled water
companies in the tri-state area to offer this healthy service for a reasonable
cost. When Ozone (O3) is introduced
into your water it sterilizes the water and everything it touches, killing
99.99% of bacteria, viruses, microorganisms, and molds.
We have a state of the art Ozone machine that will perform this very
function and "ozonate" the water and everything it touches called
Nature-Kleen.
Blue Mountain Natural Spring Water Corp. is one of the pioneering bottled
water companies in the tri-state area to sanitize customers' water coolers.

SANITIZING INSTRUCTIONS BELOW!!
CLEANING AND SANITIZING YOUR
COOLER
Note: Cooler Manufactures recommend cooler sanitizing at least every 6
months.
- Unplug the cooler from the
electrical outlet.
- Remove the bottle.
- Drain any water left in the
reservoir through the faucets.
- Remove top of water cooler
assembly until the assembly is freed from the reservoir, thereby exposing
the reservoir to be able to be cleaned with a sponge or cloth.
- Remove splash guard if one is
installed, 80% of coolers have a splash guard.
- Assembly may be cleaned in a
dishwasher or manually. If washing manually only use a mild detergent such
as Joy and do not use any abrasive material to wash unit.
- Thoroughly rinse and dry
assembly.
- Let cooler stand for a few
minutes to allow ice in the reservoir to melt. Add warm water to speed up
this process.
- Drain water again. Take a
clean non-abrasive sponge and wipe out reservoir. Do not use soaps or
detergents. Pour additional water into reservoir to rinse and drain again
through cold spigot only.
- Pour about 2-3 cups of white
vinegar in the reservoir and let that drain through the spigots.
More may be required, use enough to be able to get it through both
cold and hot lines and clean out the tubing/lines inside the cooler.
- Boil water or use scalding hot
water and pour slowly into reservoir until it is full.
- Allow water to stand for 1
minute. Drain water out of both spigots. This procedure sanitizes the water
lines and the spigots.
- Replace the assembly by
pressing unit firmly into the reservoir opening until the unit is flush with
the top of the cooler.
- Place bottle on top of cooler.
- Depress spigots and flush with
Spring water until water flows freely from both spigots and you have drained
about 2 gallons of Spring water.
- Plug in unit. (It takes a few
minutes for water to reach the desired hot and cold temperatures.
Cleaning Plastic Parts – Periodic cleaning of drip tray, spigots and
top of cooler are recommended. To clean plastic parts, use liquid soap and warm
water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners. Drip tray should not be used for disposing
unwanted beverages.
NOTE: Do not use
"Fantastic" cleaner or similar products on plastic parts. These
products contain chemicals that can cause the plastics to become brittle and
discolored.
Cleaning Cabinet Exterior – The cooler exterior can be cleaned with
liquid soap and warm water. Make sure the washed parts are rinsed thoroughly and
all soap residues are removed. (Do not use abrasive cleaners which can scratch
surfaces)
