Supply Information
Our water supplier for our 5 gallon and 3 gallon Spring Water is
“Mountainwood Inc.” near the Delaware Water
Gap in Northwestern
NJ, their mailing address is PO Box 378
Blairstown,
NJ
07825, and their physical address is 8 Mallard Pond Rd.
Hardwick, NJ
07825. The spring is
located along the Appalachian Trail at the foot
of the Kittatinny Mountains.
As
far as general water information goes
Mountainwood Inc. has been selling Spring Water out
of there deep underground aquifer since 1979.
They have supplied many companies throughout the
years including Great Bear, Indian Springs,
Culligan, Lehigh Valley Daries and multiple other
water companies throughout PA, NJ and NY.
The
Spring Water is tested every hour in house and they do
random samples each day of the water and take
them to a certified lab. They also do a yearly
analysis that is about twenty five pages long
required by the FDA.
The
bottles go through a wash cycle before they are
filled. The bottles get loaded into a washer
where the water is heated to 120 degrees, and
then a special soap made just for washing five
gallon bottles cleans each bottle thoroughly. The
bottles are washed for about five minutes and
then they are rinsed for about five minutes. The
final stage in the rinse cycle is the same water
as product Spring Water to rinse out any
remaining soap.
On October 19th, 2007 Blue Mountain Natural
Spring Water Corporation entered into a Spring
Water supply contract for its new Howell, NJ
warehouse facility with its current primary bulk
Spring Water supplier, Mountainwood Spring Water
Inc. The agreement provides for
"most-favored-customer" treatment with
respect to priority water rights over a period of
time. Management believes that
Mountainwood's Spring Water source, in the
foothills of the Kittatinny Mountains near the
Delaware Water Gap, is considered the highest
volume, free flowing, clean and tested daily,
certified natural Spring Water source in the
Northeastern United States.
The Spring, located in
Blairstown,
New Jersey, is on a seventy-five acre parcel of land
consisting mostly of dense forest which naturally
protects the source. The spring produces in
excess of ten million gallons of water every day,
at a constant temperature of 47 degrees year
round regardless of surface temperatures. The
majority of the water feeds into a twenty-five
acre pond, with only a small fraction of the
water being captured. The underground
aquifer is 70 feet below the surface, and the
source of the aquifer is believed to be over
1,000 feet below the surface! Multiple
awards have been presented to them for their
protected untainted water source.
The water that is captured is filtered multiple
times at the spring, with the final filtration
being one micron. In addition to filtration, the
water is ozonated, which serves to sterilize both
the water and everything it touches.
Natural limestone initially filters the Spring
Water, and then additional filtration occurs to
one micron.
The ozone concentration is kept at a level
specified by the International Bottled
Water Association for the Food and
Drug Administration’s Good Manufacturing
Procedure regulation. The spring water is
then filled into sanitized containers, capped,
coded and palletized. All containers are
sanitized with spring water prior to filling.
A State approved
laboratory also takes samples daily and checks
for bacteria compliance. Additionally, the
spring’s natural water is checked yearly for
over 300 substances by a State approved
laboratory.
Our goal is to provide our
valued customers with water that is as clean,
pure, and delicious in a bottle as when it is
offered up from beneath the mountains. Our many
years of business and many satisfied customers
suggest that we are achieving that goal.
